1&1 web hosting is probably one of the most interesting web hosting companies in my opinion. The reason is, is because I have seen them completely dominate a market in a few months time.
I remember years back they had this special that was like $1 for the first year and you get this ridiculous hosting plan. I know they were able to get hundreds of thousands of customers with that promotion alone.

All in All: 1and1 Hosting A Good Company?
I have seen many mixed reviews from this company. Many good ones, many bad ones. This is a huge company so you can expect them to have tons and tons of customers. Obviously the more customers you have, the harder it is to manage and the more chances an issue can fall through the cracks. However, that said, I would say they are a good host and worth trying.

1and1 is the worst hosting company on the planet! I beg everyone to pass the word on that this company is horrible! Get out…if you can! We’ve been given the run around for weeks now and they are not releasing our domain name. May need to get legal help now.
